As the IT Support & Device Preparation Technician at Gophermods, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless operations for device preparation and delivery. This position involves managing device intake and setup, coordinating timely deliveries, applying quality control measures, and handling client-specific configurations with meticulous attention to detail. You’ll work closely with various teams to streamline workflows, enhance efficiency, and ensure every device meets our high service standards before leaving the shop.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving Devices: Collect and receive devices, which are shipped in batches, secured within cages. Responsible for coordinating pickups from the client, managing up to three cages at once.
Unboxing and Recycling: Carefully unbox each device and recycle packaging materials with efficiency and attention to detail.
Asset Tagging: Enroll each device by scanning its serial number into the client’s business management platform. Print and apply asset tags for easy identification by the client.
Device Restoration and Provisioning: Restore each device to erase prior user data and update software. Provision devices with necessary client-specific apps, ensuring they are ready for immediate use.
Settings Configuration and Packaging: Manually configure device settings that cannot be automated. Apply a protective case and screen protector before packaging each device securely for shipment.
Timely Delivery: Organize and load the prepared devices back into the cage, ensuring all devices are delivered to the client within a 24-hour turnaround window.

Compensation
The IT Support & Device Preparation Technician shall receive:
- Hourly Range: $16.00 - $21.00
- Commissions: Bonuses and commissions are available, varying by department, to recognize and reward outstanding performance.
